Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. This week we will be looking back on a compilation post "Web Byte - C++17 Simplification and Quantum Conundrums." I created for my website. This is the second in my Web Byte series.

I really do like these compilation posts as they allow me to share interesting articles and insights with my readers in a concise format. Even better is that I can look back upon these and see what I was interested in at the time. I don't think I'll be running back to this format as a stand alone post, but maybe it is a section I can add to my future monthly updates.

Without further ado, let's dive into the articles and sites that caught my attention back in July 2017.




Web Byte - C++17 Simplification and Quantum Conundrums.

It's Wednesday! And you know what that means… It is time for the second installment of Web Byte. This time we are covering 4 articles/sites I found quite interesting over the last week and pertaining to C++, quantum physics, and quantum cryptography. Let's get started.

1. “C++17 in details: Code Simplification” by Bartlomiej Filipek ->

Bartlomiej Filipek, Bartek for short, does an amazing job in this article covering what will be included in the next version of C++, C++17. This article is based around how C++17 will speed up and simplify the code that you will want to create. The first example shows how he was able to reduce 7 lines to 3. I, for one, cannot wait to get my hands on the newest version of C++ and toy around with it.

2. "6 Reasons Why We Distribute C++ Libraries as Source-Code" by Hacker Noon ->

While "6 Reasons Why We Distribute C++ Libraries as Source Code" is a relatively simple and straightforward article, it is great for anyone who may be wondering why you would want to compile your own source code instead of downloading precompiled binaries.

3. "What is Quantum Cryptography?" by Devin Powell ->

"What is Quantum Cryptography?" is a very high level look at quantum cryptography. While it will not fill you in with the nitty gritty and details of quantum cryptography it is a great introduction that introduces key works that you can then research to learn more. I found the next site why looking to some of these key words related to quantum systems.

4. "Quantum Made Simple" By Various ->

"Quantum Made Simple" is a great site put together through a partnership of various groups. It teaches some basic and intermediate information of quantum physics and it's practical applications. I would recommend everyone check this one out even if you are not interested in quantum physics. It's videos and posters are some of the most beautifully made things you will ever see. The way they use sound and graphics in those videos is something else.
